High Holidays Appeal

  • Judaism in Bournemouth is alive and it’s thanks to you.

  • Click here to see a booklet filled with photo highlights from this past year at Chabad of Bournemouth. As you flip through, notice the joy on the children’s faces, the inspiration in the students’ eyes, and the warmth of community gatherings. This is what Chabad brings to Bournemouth: a living, thriving Yiddishkeit.

Each smile, each moment of Jewish pride, isn’t only our achievement - it’s yours. Together, we will continue to build a strong Jewish future in Bournemouth.

Recently, our community was shaken by a wave of appalling antisemitic incidents. Such events naturally create unease. Yet these photos remind us of our strength, pride, and resilience. We will not be defined by fear. Instead, we will continue to live as proud Jews.

Now, more than ever, we ask for your partnership to keep the flame burning strong. With no central funding, our work depends on kind friends like you.

With your generous support, Chabad can continue to bring warmth and inspiration to every corner of Jewish life in Bournemouth - from our welcoming and uplifting shul services, to children’s programmes, to university students, to holiday celebrations, and to adult education. Without your help, these vital lifelines simply cannot continue.

In honour of Rosh Hashanah, perhaps you can give £54, £90, £180, or more. Here are just a few ways your partnership will make a tangible impact this year:

    • £360 sponsors a Shabbat dinner for university students.
    • £500 provides a scholarship for a child in cheder - Chabad Hebrew School.
    • £1,800 supports the acclaimed JLI adult education courses.
    • £5,000 brings the entire community together for a holiday celebration.

Your gift is not just helpful - it is essential. Your donation is critical to ensure that every Jew in town feels welcomed, inspired, and proud of their identity.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep the smiles, the pride, and the Jewish future of Bournemouth shining bright. With best wishes for a Ketiva V’chatima Tova. May you be inscribed and sealed for a sweet new year.
