Chai Club

Chai means life.

In our own body, it is the consistency of the pumping heart and steadiness of the breath that keep us alive and well.

The Chai Club is our inner circle of dedicated friends who care about the life and financial stability of Chabad of Bournemouth and commit to giving "chai – life" with a steady, monthly commitment.

With no funding from central offices, we rely on the generosity of people like you to be able to ensure Jewish growth in our town.

The Chai Club will help maintain educational, social, and cultural opportunities for Jewish children, university students, adults and seniors in our community.

Please join the Chai Club and become a source of "Chai – life" for Chabad of Bournemouth with a monthly donation. Small amounts on their own may seem insignificant, but when your donation unites with others, it adds up to create a steady foundation of support every month.

With your consistent monthly donation, we will have a foundation that serves as the lifeline of our work. With a set amount to rely on, we can put more of our focus on the community and predictably plan for future programmes and initiatives.

• Your monthly gift will help provide Shabbat meals and kosher lunches for Jewish students at BU and AUB.
• Your monthly gift will help support our Cheder, where local Jewish children learn about their traditions and heritage.
• Your monthly gift will help ensure the homebound and elderly are not forgotten.

According to Jewish teachings, giving Tzedakah repeatedly is greater than giving one large sum, even if the total will be the same amount. Why? Giving regularly makes kindness a habit, refining one’s character and making Tzedakah not just what you do but who you are.

When you join the Chai Club, we make sure to say thank you – many times, in many different ways. As a member, you’ll receive an exclusive biannual Chai Club report and update, and will be invited to attend an annual Chai Club social evening.
